About Misti Green

Misti Green is a leadership strategist, consultant, speaker, and storyteller whose work sits at the intersection of systems, resilience, and human-centered leadership.

Over the past 30 years, she has served in classrooms, led campuses and district initiatives, guided turnaround work, and partnered with schools and organizations across the country. Through iLEAD, she supports leaders and systems with strategy, clarity, and purposeful change. Through Misti Blue, she creates space for reflection, faith, resilience, and the human side of leadership.

But long before the leadership roles, presentations, and consulting work, there was survival.

At 14, Misti left home carrying more responsibility than most children should have to navigate. Some nights were spent in juvenile detention, others in halfway houses, and others on friends' and strangers' couches while she learned, in real time, what resilience demanded. Those years shaped the lens through which she now sees students, families, systems, and leadership itself. They taught her that behind every behavior is a story, behind every struggle is humanity, and behind every challenge is the opportunity to restore dignity.

Years later, as a young mother without a diploma, she returned home determined to rewrite the direction of her life. With the support of her family, she earned her high school diploma and went on to complete both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Southern Methodist University. She often brought her son to class while building the future she once questioned was possible.

That journey continues to shape the way she leads today.

Misti’s work is grounded in the belief that credibility is not built through titles alone, but through consistency, integrity, compassion, and the willingness to lead with both strength and humanity. Whether guiding organizational change, supporting school systems, mentoring leaders, or sharing stories through the podcast, her mission remains the same:

To help people and systems move forward with clarity, courage, and hope.
